Mise En Scene:
My actor for my photo should will be Tom Birtles, I have used Tom
previously for other shoots. The location, preferably, will be against a brick
wall. This will allow me to add in texts and other features for my magazine
without any risk of distractions but it will also allow it not to be too basic. Ideally, Tom will be
dressed in black and whites - this will create a gothic/punk look which is suitable for my
magazine genre. He may also be wearing eyeliner and maybe a fedora. I don't think I will be using
props for my cover, the focus will be only on the "Musician". For
my magazine I will use a "Medium Shot" - this will allow the audience
to portray Tom from his appearance as it will show enough body language and
facial expressions.
As shown: "Medium Shots" have been used for
"Kerrang!" magazine, I intend to use ideas from magazines such as
"Kerrang!". The layout for my magazine will also have a scattered and
an unorganised effect, this will give the magazine an almost rebellious
vibe/atmosphere similar to "Kerrang!" and "Rock Sound" as they cover the same music genre as I intend to cover when I create my music magazine..
My target audience for my magazine will be aged 14 to around 19, aiming
towards people of all gender roles. The genre for my magazine will be multi-rock.
This consists of: Rock, Punk, Pop-Rock, Heavy-Metal, Alternative and more.
I will allow my magazine to be affordable to my target audience, aged
14+/19- won't usually have a job, per se. I will give my magazine a price of
£2.80. Among my magazine cover I will have over famous bands/artists, because this
will allow the audience to decide as to whether or not they're interested in
the magazine or not. For example, if Paul Potts' or Andrea Bocelli were to be a
feature, viewers would understand that the magazine will be a opera/classical
magazine or have some association.
