I personally am interested by magazines such as "Kerrang!", "Alternative Press", "Rock Sound" and so on. I buy these magazines regularly, depending on the release. "Kerrang!" is released weekly, whereas "Rock Sound" and "Alternative Press" is released monthly.
These magazines cover headlines involving bands/musicians that are categorised in to rock, alternative-rock, metal, heavy-metal, punk-rock, pop-rock, pop-punk and more. These specific genres interest me in a number of ways; it is usually the lyrics that are most important when it comes to genres like this. Most people use these genres as a coping mechanism, and the audience can usually relate to the lyrics in the music. However, the music in itself is rather catchy and can be easily appreciated. The target audience ranges depending on the band/musician. Artists such as "5 Seconds of Summer" have a young target audience, usually aged between been 12 - 17 whereas "The Beatles" aimed towards a much older and mature audience.
