Evaluation Question 5 – How did you attract/address your audience?

I attracted my audience in a number of ways, first starting with my choice of colours throughout my magazine. A lot of blacks, reds and whites were used – the red and whites help played against the blacks. The colours are used to brighten up the magazine throughout, in order to be eye-catching - because, of course, bright colours gains an audiences attention.

My actor on my cover is an attractive, young male. This appeals to both genders. His direct mode of address certainly helps with bring in an audience, as it almost allows the actor to feel as-though he is looking personally to the audience.

For my cover, especially, I have included names and images of famous artists. The reason for this is because using globally recognised names will allow my target audience to be attracted to my magazine. Artists such as "Green Day" and "Paramore" have a fan base consisting of millions, so the possibility that "Green Day"/"Paramore" fans will be interested in the magazine is exceptionally high. It will also portray the magazine as quite exclusive considering its content is about/evolved around such famous people.
